Dear Father in Heaven,
Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation. Your
fingerprints are breath-taking to view. I find myself staring in awe at all
that you have made. Today I saw your waterfall at Kimani Falls in Tanzania,
Africa. I saw it from a distance as we trudged through the bush in a jeep on
the “road,” and watched the falls grow larger and larger as we hiked through
the wilderness. I could hear the splash of water bouncing off the rocks as it
plummeted from one level to the next—ever flowing, swirling, and painting a
design across the rocks. The scent of water reached my nostrils, revealing its
freshness and welcoming me into its presence. I felt the cool, refreshing
thrill of jumping into its depth and returning to its surface gasping for air.
Don’t worry though, I refrained from tasting it because I know that my body is
not immune to its substances. Thank you Lord for the many different mechanisms
you have given us, your children, in order to enjoy your beauty. And thank you
for the wonderful company.
In
Jesus Name, Amen.
